We are frequent travelers and Airbnb guests, but rarely write reviews on our lodging and hosts. Our stay at Il Pomerio, with Lucia as our host, was one of the best villa/home rental experiences we have ever had - Il Pomerio deserves a 5++ Star Review!
Location - We wanted a quiet, beautiful and serene home in the Tuscan/Umbria hills, and this was the perfect place. It is away from noise and traffic but still close to everything. We were a few minutes drive from Città dell Pieve for markets, restaurants, shopping, etc. The location was exactly what we wanted on our vacation.
Villa/Home - Immaculate and quiet with a great layout inside and out. We liked the layout with the large family room, dining room and kitchen downstairs and the bedrooms upstairs.
Noise was never an issue. The house was stocked with everything we needed, great parking on gated property, and the laundry with a clothes dryer was a plus! The views are amazing from every room.
We loved Il Pomerio and our host, Lucia, made it even better. She helped (saved) us countless times, as we were unfamiliar with the language and the area. Lucia helped us with reservations (FYI, you will need them for almost everything) at wineries, restaurants, cooking classes, private drivers, etc. She gave us advice/suggestions on places to go and things to do - or to NOT go and do. That was a huge help, too. It was easy to contact her and she always responded quickly. Lucia was a great host, you will love her!
Il Pomerio was a unique one of a kind villa and experience for us. Yes, we highly recommend it and will definitely go again!
